Wow, what a tribute! I think we should well to give back something of what our parents gave us, and this, i cant be anyhow more sure, is one of the ways.
Me thinks, I should take November 19th and September 12th to be on my diary for your mum and for Chrenyan, aha?
Well it pays to pay, that is all can say, and thanks for reminding some of the most sentimental, most intimate stuff that we overlook in our futile journey to make ends meet, which is just an illusion, a mirage if we dont consider where we came from and who brought us there.
Thanks alot.

Let me without batting state very blatantly that Obama's chances of a Presidency in Kenya would be ZERO.
In the first place he would be fought on tribal basis and then if that fails he would be fought on racial basis.
Also ther would be the money issue. Bear in mind that in US they contribute money for the campaign of the favoured candidate, while we solicit for the same from the favoured candidate.
If that fails there would be another handicap of his background, having had a stint with drugs. Remember why Uhuru was felled in 2002 polls was partly because some perpetrated the notion that he had been gay and that is why he was expelled from an American campus.
Also bear in mind that his politics is not that of nitpicking, witch hunting, and mudslinging, something that Kenyan polilticians have a Nobel (or is it No Bill? Award for.
Bearing all this barriers he would definitely understand that this is Kenya, and these are Kenyans.

Well, I must say that I enjoy such a class clown like you had. I have never been one, and I dont know why it must be someone. While they say that in every market there must be a mad man, I dont feel obliged to comment on that, but your friend must have been one of the funniest guys in the world. I laughed myself hoarse at the "bed riding" statement.
Dont you ever think of how the world would be without such people?
Some are so stone faced that they would make a dog whine away.
But much as I prefer looking at the brighter side of life, I can always say that such people as Mr. Z will always be there.
A good story teller, you are.

Its 2008 today and what you guys feared would happen to our country has happened, lives have been lost confidence in our nation eroded but more importantly is the fact that perpertrators of acts of evil(read political class) are the ones deciding the justice route. But this nation is resilient enough we will rise again to take our position as haven of peace.

I wish to write about two things. First, ask me about Obama's policies and I'll enumerate a couple, ask me about Kenya's general election and I will tell you which team told 'believable' lies. The simple reason is that the US presidential bid is orchestrated by well published and debated policies. From active website to debates, the presidential candidates battle it out. Probably not surprising, I'm on Obama's mailing list.

Secondly, America has come a long way since 1789 and Obama is her first black president of the 44. Racism has been their achilles' heel. Some are still trying to block him from being sworn into office. Well, I don't know how long we will struggle with tribalism in Kenya but I'm hopeful that the time is near, the last post election violence notwithstanding.

If Obama run for Kenya's presidency, he will be feasibly a kenyan politician, then, his tribal inclination would be among his 'qualities' and the ballot box would tell or rather ECK would announce.

People choose leaders based on many criteria. Ethnicity is one of them. I dare say it is an authentic criteria for so long as it is not the ONLY criteria or the most important one. So Obama is part of us when running against a white guy, if he ran against a Nigerian broda, the brother would be more 'us' than BO. If he ran against a kiuk......
